Payment

Q. Can I pay by Credit Card?
A. Yes, you can pay via Credit Card. We use the most trusted online payment facility “Paypal”. By selecting the second option on the Paypal site when paying you can avoid having a paypal account and directly use your credit card.

Q. What Credit Card types do you accept?
A. Using Paypals trusted service, we now accept Visa, Mastercard.

Q. Can I pay using my Paypal account?
A. Yes, you can either use your paypal account or a direct credit card.

Postage

Q. After I place my order, how long till my products are shipped?
A. We post orders within three business days of payment being received and confirmed.

Q. How will I know if my payment has been received or my items posted?
A. We keep you updated during the progress of your order via email. We will send you an email once the payment has been confirmed and then another email when your items have been sent.

Q. How much is postage to Australia?
A. $9.50 With Tracking For Kitchen Gadgets, that’s right!

Q. Free Shipping will resume once Austpost and weather permitting issues are resolved.?
A. We will resume once all AustPost and Weather Issues  give free standard postage to anywhere in Australia.

Q. How much is postage to Australia due to Covid we have added extra charges?
A. During Covid we have added a option to send your parcel by registered Post for a small charge calculated on order with tracking.

Q. Can I order Express Postage?
A. Yes you can order express but please Contact our sales staff as they are attending to Previous Orders. So they are aware also orders need to packed and sent asap.

Q. How much is international postage?
A. We charge a flat rate of $25 to all countries outside of Australia, Kitchengadgets.com.au will not be responsible for lost mail any refunds will be determined  after refund from freight company. Freight may also take up to 90 days no clam prior to the time frame due to process of before refund is authorized.

Q. How much is postage for  international and domestic  postage? For Dancing Shelf’s
A. We charge according to the International  and domestic Postage Calculator or Courier charges.  Alternatively you can provide a pre approved postage label we will pack the product and attach label provided. If you decide to purchase these shelves without prior contact there will be a restocking fee of 25% admin and handling fees.

FLAT SLICER

Q. Is the slicer dishwasher safe?
A. Some dishwashers have very high water temperatures so we recommend you just rinse it in warm soapy water, taking care not to touch the blade.

Q. How do I clean the blades?
A. The easiest way is to use a toothbrush around the blade.

Q. What if a vegetable gets stuck on the blade?
A. Never try to remove it using your hands.  Just run another slice of the vegetable to push it through.

Q. Can I get new inserts if I lose one?
A. Yes inserts are available.

Q. What is the difference between the three blades I have received?
A. You will see on the raised edge of the blade that they are named. Thin slicer = 2mm, Thick slicer = 4mm and 7mm slicer = 7mm slices.

Q. Is the mandoline dishwasher safe?
A. Some dishwashers have very high water temperatures so to protect the bowl, we recommend you just rinse it in warm soapy water, taking care not to touch the blades.

PEELERS

Q. How long will my peeler blade last?
A. The teeth on the blade are formed not sharpened so they do not lose their sharpness. They will only lose their effectiveness if you damage them.

Q. Are blades replaceable?
A.Yes they can be ordered via the website.

Q. Is the plastic handle strong enough?
A. Yes, this is a specially designed plastics formula.  It has undergone all possible scenarios during testing.

Q. Is the peeler dishwasher safe?
A. Yes.

Q. My peeler is not peeling.  What do I do?
A. Ensure that the teeth of the blade are lying against the vegetable and keep the peeler fairly flat.  No pressure is required.  You should be able to pull peeler down using only a finger.  There is also a video instruction of this product on the website.

POLYSQUEEP

Q. Can I use any handle with this broom?
A. Yes as long as it fits into the broom socket.

Q. Can I use this broom on light colors?
A. Yes it is made of a synthetic rubber so it will not mark. (Just make sure that if you have recently used the broom outside, you wash it first and let it dry).

Q. Why is the broom hard to push?
A. This broom was designed with health aspects in mind, so although it can be used to sweep in either direction, it will be easier in the pulling direction. If you want to push it, you must use the broom very lightly.  Remember the bristles should be doing the work not you.

Q. Can I use cleaning products with this broom?
A. Yes, even a mild solution of hydrochloric acid can be used.  Just ensure you wash the broom head thoroughly with dishwashing detergent when finished.

Q. How do I use the broom on the carpet?
A. Place all the bristles flat on the carpet and use very small strokes pulling towards you.  This will ensure you get all the pet hair out of the carpet.  When you have collected a large amount, leave it in a pile and continue.  This will avoid sweeping the hair all around the carpet.  A light, short stroke gives the best effect.

SAFETY HANDLE

Q. Why does my vegetable not stay on the safety handle?
A.Ensure that you place the vegetable securely using the following steps:

  • Make sure all of the pins are visible before placing vegetable
  • Do not hold the handle in the palm of your hand.  This stops the hat from dropping down so that you can see all the pins
  • For a long vegetable e.g. carrot, take the thickest part of the carrot and place it on the first of the four pins.  Then press down along the rest of the pins, not across the safety handle

Q. How can I clean inside the handle?
A.
Just unscrew the handle and it will open up into three pieces for easy cleaning.  Make sure you line up the holes with the pins when putting it back together.

STRIP SLICERS

Q. Are the blades replaceable?
A. No, the blades for the 1.5, 2.5 and 12mm strip slicers cannot be replaced. The blades for the 3.5 and 7mm strip slicers are inserts so yes, they can be replaced.

A. Yes, This has to be done by approved correspondence. We don’t appreciate profound and vulgar threats. But if your order has been Proceed or sent to you. You will also incur an Admin Fee up to 25% Plus Postage.
